Baseball Recap: Suttons Bay Comes Up Short

Suttons Bay was the 12-8 winner over Central Lake when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Norsemen lost 14-4 to the Trojans on Thursday. The Norsemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson Loucks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Suttons Bay: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Rokita, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Suttons Bay's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Central Lake, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Suttons Bay will square off against Buckley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Lake, they will face off against St. Mary Cathedral at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
