Baseball Game Preview: Swanton Bulldogs vs. Leipsic Vikings

The Swanton Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Leipsic Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Swanton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Swanton made easy work of Toledo Christian and carried off a 14-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Leipsic's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bluffton on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Vikings seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Swanton pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Leipsic, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.
