Softball Recap: Mountain Ridge Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverton, Mountain Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Grantsville Cowboys by a score of 7-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Sentinels as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Avery Rawlins and Makenna Iacono did most of the damage at the plate: Rawlins went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI, while Iacono went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelli Christiansen, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Mountain Ridge's record now sits at 10-7. As for Grantsville, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-4.

Mountain Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Davis on the 18th. As for Grantsville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-1 victory against Copper Hills on the 18th.
