Baseball Recap: Bay Path RVT Has No Trouble Against Douglas

Bay Path RVT's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Douglas Tigers 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Minutemen, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Dale Nussey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Bay Path RVT let Jacob Delvalle and Chase Davis run wild. Delvalle went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Davis got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double. That triple was Delvalle's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Josh Hemingway, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Bay Path RVT's record now sits at 9-3. As for Douglas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Bay Path RVT is taking a road trip to face off against Westborough at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Minutemen are facing the Rangers at the right time seeing as the Rangers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Douglas, they will welcome Blackstone-Millville at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Chargers will have lost eight straight heading into Wednesday's contest.
