It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Fuquay - Varina ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs. Given Fuquay - Varina's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Southeast Raleigh are ranked 405th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fuquay - Varina hit Southeast Raleigh with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Chris Catton, Landon Babineau, and Massimiliano Cova Turcios.
