Volleyball Recap: Springfield Southeast Spartans vs. Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones

Springfield Southeast lost against Sacred Heart-Griffin back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Cyclones. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-3.

Presly Werts paced Springfield Southeast's offense, picking up six kills. Werts got some help from Parker Maxey and her nine assists.

Sacred Heart-Griffin found their leader in sophomore Addison Brown, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Brown.

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Coincidentally, Springfield Southeast and Sacred Heart-Griffin will both be playing Springfield the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Cyclones will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
