Preview: Redmond Mustangs vs. Issaquah Eagles
Redmond is 0-10 against Issaquah since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Redmond Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Issaquah Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Redmond is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Redmond came up short against Newport - Bellevue and fell 57-45. Redmond has struggled against Newport - Bellevue recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Redmond saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sofia Locati, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Isabel Schneider was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Issaquah ended up a good deal behind Inglemoor on Friday and lost 56-41.
Redmond has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Issaquah, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Redmond suffered a grim 68-42 defeat to Issaquah in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Redmond avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
