Volleyball Preview: Strasburg Indians vs. Simla Cubs

The Strasburg Indians will venture away from home to take on the Simla Cubs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Strasburg is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Eaton just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Reds.

While Strasburg was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-8, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, Strasburg got top-tier performance from Peighton Marrero, who had ten kills, nine digs, and a block. Marrero is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Nuttall, who had six digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Simla put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Monument Academy as Simla made off with a 3-0 win.

Strasburg's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Simla, they pushed their record up to 16-0 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
