Basketball Recap: Harvard Takes a Loss

Harvard was the 44-39 winner over Palmer when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Harvard Cardinals were dealt a 64-25 defeat at the hands of the Palmer Tigers on Tuesday. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

Despite the loss, Harvard still got an impressive performance from Ethyn Whetstine-Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Whetstine-Jones a new career-high in rebounds.

Harvard's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Palmer, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Harvard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-27 defeat against Franklin on the 12th. As for Palmer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-43 loss against Giltner on the 12th.
