Football Recap: Oak Park Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Oak Park had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a hard 45-28 fall against the Agoura Chargers on Friday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 48-28 to the Chargers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Oak Park still got an impressive performance from Nevada Ford, who rushed for 103 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Gavin Gray was a one-man wrecking crew For Agoura. as he threw for 293 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Gray a new career-high in passer rating (158.1).

Oak Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 51-19 loss against Saugus on the 29th. As for Agoura, they have also already played their next contest, a 31-14 defeat against Westlake on the 29th.
