Football Recap: Logansport Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Logansport extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They took down the Twin Lakes Indians 45-28. The 45-point effort marked the Berries' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Elliot Baldini produced another solid effort rushing for 188 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also catching one TD. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Logansport was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 318 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Twin Lakes only rushed for 46 rushing yards.

Logansport didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Karsen Jackson and Louis Rozzi. Jackson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Twin Lakes fell to 4-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Twin Lakes' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Dold, who threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground. 85 of Dold's passing yards were hauled in by Ethan Need, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logansport will take on Hamilton Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Twin Lakes, they will challenge Benton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Bison's rather soft defense (which has allowed 48.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
