Baseball Game Preview: Delta Eagles vs. Bellmont Braves

The Delta Eagles will square off against the Bellmont Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Delta had just enough and edged out Wapahani 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Kaeb Stebbins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Delta's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brady Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Bellmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Leo.

Delta's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Bellmont, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Delta skirted past Bellmont 5-4 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
