Basketball Recap: East Comes Up Short

If East was riding high fresh off their 40-10 takedown of Heartland Christian last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. East took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boardman Spartans on Monday. The loss continues a trend for East in their matchups with Boardman: they've now lost nine in a row.

East now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Boardman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season.

East will be playing at home against Ursuline at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Boardman, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-51 defeat against Austintown-Fitch on the 29th.
