Baseball Recap: Treynor Has No Trouble Against Red Oak

After losing to Red Oak the last time they met, Treynor decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Cardinals have won 11 matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Treynor and bumps their season record up to 14-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Red Oak, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.

Treynor will welcome Underwood on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Red Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
