Softball Recap: Sylacauga Comes Up Short

Sylacauga came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to the Briarwood Christian Lions. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Aggies couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alaina Bryant was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Josie Harshberger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Sylacauga's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Briarwood Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Coming up, Sylacauga will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelby County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Briarwood Christian, they will square off against John Carroll Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
