Basketball Game Preview: Hermiston Bulldogs vs. Hanford Falcons

The Hermiston Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Hanford Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hermiston is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Hermiston is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Chiawana by a score of 52-49. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Riverhawks are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, Hanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 75-70 heartbreaker at the hands of Walla Walla.

Hanford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Hermiston, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Hermiston strolled past Hanford in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 68-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hermiston since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
