Basketball Game Preview: Brush Arcs vs. Laurel Gators

The Brush Arcs will take on the Laurel Gators in a tournament on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Brush is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: St. Vincent-St. Mary, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Brush was ranked 23rd). The Arcs walked away with a 56-48 win over the Fighting Irish on Wednesday. The Arcs haven't had any issues with the Fighting Irish recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Laurel was fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past Green 68-20. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Laurel's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Brush, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Brush was able to grind out a solid win over Laurel when the teams last played back in January of 2025, winning 61-49. Will the Arcs repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
