Basketball Game Preview: Potomac Wolverines vs. Oxon Hill Clippers

Potomac hasn't had much luck against Oxon Hill recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Potomac Wolverines will take on the Oxon Hill Clippers in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m.

Potomac is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 22nd straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 58-13 loss at the hands of Surrattsville.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oxon Hill). They never let International High School at Largo onto the board and left with a 112-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Clippers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Potomac's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oxon Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Potomac was dealt a bruising 75-5 loss at the hands of Oxon Hill in their previous matchup back in February. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Potomac was down 50-2.
