Basketball Recap: Legacy Comes Up Short

If Legacy was riding high fresh off their 54-29 takedown of Mineral Wells last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Legacy Leopards fell 57-46 to the Cleveland Storm on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 367th in Texas, while the Storm are ranked 11th in New Mexico).

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Cleveland, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy will host Bishop Lynch at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Cleveland, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Highland at 5:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
