Preview: Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Hawks vs. Chattanooga Prep Sentinels

The Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Hawks will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Hamilton Heights Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Sunday. They blew past Wesley Christian 74-54. Given Hamilton Heights Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fourth in Tennessee, while Wesley Christian is ranked 129th in Kentucky), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hamilton Heights Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Samuels out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Samuels hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Kevin De Kovachich was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Chattanooga Prep only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 29-point they dealt Tyner Academy two weeks ago. Chattanooga Prep blew past Tyner Academy 67-38 at home. Winning may never get old, but Chattanooga Prep sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Ta'Suade Williams and Roberson were among the main playmakers for Chattanooga Prep as the former scored 16 points and the latter scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Gaines, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Hamilton Heights Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Chattanooga Prep, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home.
Hamilton Heights Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Chattanooga Prep in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 71-59.
