Soccer Game Preview: Islands vs. Union Grove

The Islands Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Union Grove Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Islands was handed a ten-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy 2-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Union Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They never let Jasper County get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Union Grove were the better team in the second half.

Islands' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Union Grove, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
