Volleyball Game Preview: Rubidoux Falcons vs. Jurupa Valley Jaguars + How To Watch

Rubidoux is 0-9 against Jurupa Valley since September of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Rubidoux took on La Sierra on Wednesday. The Falcons came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: La Sierra scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jurupa Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They skirted past Norte Vista 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jaguars have posted since August 13th.

Jurupa Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-27, 25-16, 27-25, 15-8.

Rubidoux's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Jurupa Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Rubidoux might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Jurupa Valley in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
