Baseball Game Preview: Crosby Cougars vs. Splendora Wildcats

Crosby is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Splendora is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Crosby Cougars duke it out with Splendora Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Crosby is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since February 21st on Tuesday. They fell just short of Splendora by a score of 3-1.

For Splendora's part, the team relied heavily on Caleb Ricks, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The dominant performance gave Ricks a new career-high in RBI.

Splendora has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. Crosby has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11-1 record this season.
