Recap: Corning Cardinals vs. Central Valley Falcons
The Corning Cardinals had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 66-40 margin over Central Valley. With that victory, Corning brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Corning to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordon Morrow, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javier Cayetano, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Corning's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Central Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Corning is on the road again on Friday and play against West Valley at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully West Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday. Central Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Redding Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th.
