Wellington School had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the Madison Christian Eagles 42-26 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Jaguars, who have now won nine contests in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wellington School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeanie Desantis, who went 5-for-9 on her way to 15 points and three steals. Desantis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Moore, who posted 13 points and five steals.

Madison Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Jasmine Harris and Lexi Wray. Harris earned seven points and 11 rebounds, while Wray had 11 points.

Wellington School's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points over those games. As for Madison Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Wellington School will challenge Delaware Christian at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Delaware Christian will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Wellington School surely won't give up without a fight. Madison Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
