Softball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 10-5 to the Forest City Foresters. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Addison Kilmer and Paige Smith did some serious damage despite the final result: Kilmer scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Smith scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emma Thatcher, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Forest City, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Mountain View and Forest City will both be playing Blue Ridge the next time they take the field. The Foresters will head out to face the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will host them at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
