Basketball Recap: Northridge Skates Past Goshen with Ease

Northridge won the last time they faced Goshen and things went their way on Friday too. The Northridge Raiders breezed by the Goshen RedHawks to the tune of 62-17. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season.

Northridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Scholl, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 12 points. Scholl is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Camryn Conley, who posted nine points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Northridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goshen only posted four assists.

When it comes to explaining why Goshen lost, don't look at Taryn Hill. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 7 on her way to 12 points and eight boards.

Northridge pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.4 points. As for Goshen, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Northridge will take on Rushville in a tournament on Friday. Northridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season. As for Goshen, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-9 loss against Penn on the 21st.
