Basketball Recap: Cornell Takes a Loss

Cornell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Winter Warriors, falling 68-44. If the Chiefs were looking for revenge after losing 67-59 to the Warriors when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Cornell lost, don't look at Haylee Ellis. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 34 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Ellis is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabelle King, who posted six points.

Cornell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Winter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.
