While Scarborough's victory against Deering wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Storm skirted past the Rams 16-14. That's two games straight that the Red Storm have won by exactly two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Scarborough and bumps their season record up to 5-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Deering, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Scarborough will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
