Baseball Recap: Choctawhatchee Comes Up Short

Choctawhatchee and Escambia squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Choctawhatchee had to settle for second. They came up short against the Gators, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Choctawhatchee saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Figueroa, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Choctawhatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Escambia, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 21-5.

As of now, neither Choctawhatchee nor the Gators have any future games scheduled.
