There's no place like home for Hillcrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cyprus Pirates on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2021.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13, 20-25, 25-14.

Nola Bonner paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bonner got some help from Jane Thomas and her 34 assists. Thomas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Hillcrest's record now sits at 4-5. As for Cyprus, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Hillcrest will venture away from home to square off against Hunter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cyprus, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Centennial on the 5th.
