Recap: St. Paul Wildcats vs. Ord Chanticleers

There's no place like home for the St. Paul Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Ord by a score of 59-52 on Monday. The score was all tied up 29-29 at the break, but St. Paul was the better team in the second half.

It was another big night for Gracie Kelley, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gracie Mudloff, who scored 13 points along with three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Ord lost, one person who can't be blamed is Marin Reilly. Despite the final result, she scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Williams, who scored 11 points along with four steals.

St. Paul's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Ord, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

St. Paul won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ravenna at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Ord, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Broken Bow at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Broken Bow knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Ord likes a good challenge.
