Basketball Recap: Bedford North Lawrence Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bedford North Lawrence, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 48-42 win over the Orleans Bulldogs on Saturday.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Savannah Russell, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Russell a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Mylie Knight, who earned eight points.

Bedford North Lawrence's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Orleans, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

Bedford North Lawrence will venture away from home to take on Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orleans, they will take on Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orleans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.
