Sugar-Salem had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 63-51 victory over the Filer Wildcats on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Diggers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Filer lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cache Palmer, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kason Coon, who put up 12 points.

Filer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
