Volleyball Recap: Dedham Gets the Win

Dedham proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Fontbonne Academy Ducks 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Marauders: when they faced off against the Ducks back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Dedham had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-28, 25-18, 25-17, 17-15.

Dedham's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Fontbonne Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Dedham has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Malden Catholic on the 16th. As for Fontbonne Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Rockland on the 15th.
