Brandon is 8-2 against Petal since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home pitch against the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Brandon took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Pearl a 1-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for Brandon in their matchups with Pearl: they've now won six in a row.

Brandon's one-goal win came courtesy of BRAEDON LINDSAY, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Petal took on Northwest Rankin on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. The loss was Petal's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Petal fell to 10-1-1. As for Brandon, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
