Volleyball Recap: Kimball/White Lake Takes a Loss

Kimball/White Lake was the 2-1 winner over Herreid/Selby when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildkats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines on Saturday.

Rylee McCord paced Kimball/White Lake's offense, picking up seven kills. McCord got some help from Mariah Gosmire and her 13 assists. Gosmire also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Harlie Fuegen, each putting up two.

Kimball/White Lake has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 6-18 record this season. As for Herreid/Selby, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

Kimball/White Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on the 14th. As for Herreid/Selby, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Roncalli on the 11th.
