 Shamokin Area is 5-0 against Milton since April of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Shamokin Area Indians will be staying on the road  to face off against the Milton Black Panthers at 4:30  p.m. Milton took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Shamokin Area, who comes in off a win.
 Shamokin Area can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Central Columbia as Shamokin Area made off with  a  12-1 win.
  EMMA KURTZ made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. KURTZ has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings every time she's  pitched this season. KURTZ was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news, Shamokin Area got a  massive  performance out of  AVA BONSHOCK, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.  AVA HUGHES was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Milton fell victim to Montoursville and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They lost  12-0 to the Warriors.
 Shamokin Area's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Milton, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Shamokin Area took their  win against Milton  in their previous matchup  back in April by a conclusive  12-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shamokin Area since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
