Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Brevard Blue Devils

The Franklin Panthers will take on the Brevard Blue Devils in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Franklin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past East Henderson to the tune of 63-33 on Friday.

Franklin found their leader in sophomore Bristol Brooks, who posted 14 points. Layla Maloy was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Brevard earned a 36-26 victory over Owen on Wednesday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Warhorses recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Brevard found their leader in freshman Myrikal Collington, who earned ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Galloway, who put up six points.

Brevard's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Franklin strolled past Brevard in their previous matchup back in February of 2021 by a score of 50-32. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
