Basketball Recap: Forest Comes Up Short

Forest lost against Quitman back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Forest Bearcats were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Quitman Panthers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quitman to victory, but perhaps none more so than JAHYLA DUBOSE, who went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave DUBOSE a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was AIYANNA DEAR, who posted 15 points and five assists.

Forest has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Quitman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-8.

As of now, neither Forest nor Quitman have any future games scheduled.
