Soccer Game Preview: Salem vs. Vienna/Goreville

The Salem Wildcats will square off against the Vienna/Goreville Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Salem fell victim to Mater Dei and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. That's two games in a row now that Salem have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Vienna/Goreville also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Murphysboro on Monday, falling 9-0.

Vienna/Goreville's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Salem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
