Basketball Recap: Hundred Starts Season with Win on the Road

Hundred had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Beallsville Blue Devils 65-41 on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-8.

Hundred was led to victory by Colt Sandy and Trey Huggins. Sandy dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Huggins went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points along with five assists and four steals. Sandy is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Sleeth, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points.

Beallsville is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hundred will welcome Clay-Battelle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Beallsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Frontier at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th.
