Football Recap: Sebastian Johnson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Flagler Palm Coast

After losing to Flagler Palm Coast the last time they met, Mainland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Buccaneers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 28-7 victory on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Buccaneers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 167th).

Mainland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sebastian Johnson out in front who threw for 205 yards and one TD, and also punched in one score on the ground. Braylyn Simmons handled things on the ground, rushing for 80 yards and a rushing touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Flagler Palm Coast lost, don't look at Caden Burchfield. Despite the final result, he rushed for 62 yards on only seven carries, and also threw for 60 yards and one touchdown.
