Basketball Game Preview: Bells Panthers vs. Gunter Tigers

Bells is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Gunter is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bells Panthers take on the Gunter Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bells is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pottsboro just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a hard 58-40 fall against the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gunter). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat S & S Consolidated 73-32. With the Tigers ahead 42-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Gunter has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Bells, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.

Bells strolled past Gunter in their previous matchup on January 7th by a score of 63-48. Will Bells repeat their success, or does Gunter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
