Dramatic buzzer beater inn Washington Township-Cherokee game Feb. 18.

Spencer Cook of Washington Township (Sewell) is enjoying social media celebrity status after sinking this game-tying 75-footer in overtime last Thursday against Cherokee.

Cook, a 6-foot-2 senior guard, delivered this miracle at the end of the first overtime with Cherokee leading 44-41. The shot sent the game into double OT and propelled the Minutemen to a 50-44 victory.

Cook – who is averaging over 20 points per game this season – finished the thriller with a team-high 14 points. The unsigned senior had 39 in a December game and has helped Washington Township go 21-3 this season.
