Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Alexandrea Novak stepped things up a notch to give Monterey the 'W'. Novak wasn't messing around, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. The pitching appearance was her seventh straight with six or more strikeouts.
