Volleyball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Takes a Loss

Capistrano Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Dana Hills Dolphins. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dolphins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Capistrano Valley Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-11.

When it comes to explaining why Capistrano Valley Christian lost, don't look at Joy Carney. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and six assists. Carney has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last eight times she's played. Megan Keena was another key player, getting 12 digs and nine assists.

Capistrano Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-20-1. As for Dana Hills, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-12.

As of now, neither Capistrano Valley Christian nor the Dolphins have any future games scheduled.
