Softball Recap: Valparaiso's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Valparaiso had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Andrean Fighting 59ers. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 6-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Olivia Rosenbaum tossed a big game, pitching 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elizabeth Kosek, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Ariyana Bishop, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Valparaiso back to even at 13-13. As for Andrean, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-7.

Looking ahead, Valparaiso will venture away from home to face off against Boone Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Andrean, they will face off against Illiana Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
