South Point has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huss Huskies on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-55 back in January.

South Point's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Toney Milton, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 20 points and six boards. What's more, Milton also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Amya Graham was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Huss to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklyn Swann, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards. The matchup was Swann's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaleila Littlejohn, who made all 6 shots she took for 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Huss, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Coming up, South Point will be playing in front of their home fans against Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Point is facing Crest at the right time seeing as Crest is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Huss, they will head out on the road to square off against Stuart W. Cramer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Stuart W. Cramer sitting on six straight wins and Huss on ten.
