Basketball Recap: Miami-Yoder Gets the Win

Miami-Yoder hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost three straight ) but thanks in part to Jesus Cruz that streak is no more. The Buffaloes breezed past Non Varsity Opponent to the tune of 56-18 on Thursday for which the team can thank Cruz, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. He has become a key player for Miami-Yoder: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 3-7 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Isaac Tinoco, who posted eight points along with eight boards and six steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played.

Miami-Yoder's victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Miami-Yoder wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-29 loss against Hanover on the 7th. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they have also already played their next game, a 44-27 defeat against Gilead Christian on the 5th.
